HUTCHINSON SCHOOL, MRS. GENTILE’S CLASS– Mrs. Gentile’s fifth grade class is learning about explorers– You know, Christopher Columbus and other people who traveled to find new lands.

In Mrs. Gentile’s class, the students are supposed to write a rap about an explorer of their choice at home. The rap must be facts about an explorer. The rap doesn’t have to be rapped when you present it, but you can  if you want to.

R.A. says, “I didn’t like it because I wasn’t good at it.”

C.L. comments, “I loved it! ”

The raps are on many different explorers. I did Amerigo Vesspuci. Other people did Hernan Cortez, James Cook, Columbus, and others. This was a creative way to learn about explorers.

S.G. says, ” It was super fun and it made us learn about the explorers.”
