Endangered African Elephants

AFRICA– Do you know that African Elephants are endangered?  Every day, about 100 elephants are killed by poachers.

Elephants are the largest mammals in the world, and they play an important role in our ecosystem.  Elephants are very peaceful creatures, as long as you don’t threaten their young.

“I think that it is horrible idea that poachers kill elephants for no reason,” SP expressed.

“I think we should care about endangered species because some animals balance nature, and if these animals don’t do their job, then the food chain could be damaged.  Plus the animals are part of the environment, and we should just care for the environment,” NP explained.

These creatures are killed for their tusks. Their tusks are made out of ivory and ivory is very expensive.  Usually, poachers kill elephants to get their ivory and poachers then sell the ivory to get a lot of money.

“I think it’s important to keep African Elephants alive because African Elephants are important to people and nature,” MB claimed.
