WORLDWIDE– Basketball is a great sport to play.  If you like it, you should read this story.

Michael Jordan is one of the best players, in my opinion.

Once Michael Jordan said, “I can accept failure, but I cannot accept not trying.”  He also said, “It doesn’t matter if you win, as long as you give everything in your heart.”

Chloe Castro says, “Basketball is a really fun sport.  You also get to see players play in the stadium!”

Rachael Janos says, “Basketball is a fun sport and it seems like a lot of work.”

Ava Gatti says, “I love basketball.  It is one of my favorite sports.  I will be trying out for the Hutchinson girls’ basketball team.  My favorite team is the Knicks.”

Ava Paolucci says, “I think basketball is fun.  I love the way it makes my adrenaline run.”

Did you know that many years ago, basketball was played with a soccer ball?  Also I would love to meet Michael Jordan or Lebron James.

Other fun facts:  The net wasn’t created until 1906.  On December 21st of that year, the first basketball game was played.  Also, basketball was invented by Dr. James Naismith in 1891.
