3rd Graders Learn All About Nutrition!

HUTCHINSON SCHOOL– What types of foods are good for you?  The third graders are learning all about nutrition in science class!

Students are making posters all about nutrition and ways to do exercise. Rachael Janos in 3R says, “If you eat healthy food, you stay healthy.  You should do a lot of exercises.”

Jackie Pennetta in 3R says, “There are many types of nutritious foods.”

I interviewed Ms. Buzin at lunch time, as she was eating a nutritious salad.  She said, “I eat lots of healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables.  I also exercise regularly.”

Amber Bly in 5S says, “Healthy food is good for you, and I try to eat healthy food every day.”

Healthy foods have different kinds of nutrition facts. It is okay to eat sweets, but only one a day. But eating sweets too much is not good for you. You can put frosting on your strawberries. You can put sweets in your healthy food. These are facts you can learn and do.
