NEW YORK– Isn’t it very warm? It’s the end of December and kids are still wearing shorts and T-shirts! What is happening?  It is going to be hot on Christmas! We don’t live in Florida!

It’s really warm; irregularly warm. Global warming might be the reason. It hasn’t been this warm since 1870. Usually in Buffalo, they already have 80 inches of snow by now.

Experts say that this funky weather might be coming from something called El Nino. El Nino is when ocean water from a warmer place comes to New York, where it’s supposed to be snowing. Thursday, El Nino was found to be the culprit.

Some people love this warm weather. They love wearing shorts and T-shirts.

Courtney Valente said, “I think it’s crazy! Everyone’s missing snow things, when I’m kind of liking this weather.”

Although she’s loving it, some people are thinking it’s awful.

Giana Pizzutiello said, “I think it’s really crazy that it was 70 degrees on Christmas!”

This is some wacky weather! One day it’s freezing and one day it’s so hot. We have had no snow, but lots of rain. Even the birds are confused. Some geese are still here. Flowers are still growing.

When will this crazy weather end?
