UNITED STATES OF AMERICA– Kids all over the country, maybe even the world, have been wanting a new water bottle brand called Stanley Cups. Why are kids going so crazy over a water bottle, though? Not just kids, adults are even fighting each other over it! What makes people want it so badly (more so kids than adults) are their abilities and bright colors.
Some Stanley Cups are water bottles that look like cups. They are portable, and (supposedly) fashionable, but can be heavy depending on the size. There are not only Stanley Quencher Cups, but also Stanley mugs, thermoses, and more. Their abilities include keeping liquids hot or cold for long periods of time. Their logo is a black bear with its head turned toward you, wearing a crown, and has wings. Health specialists say that generally healthy people drink at least 4-6 cups of water a day. The Stanley Quencher can hold up to 40 ounces, or 5 cups in one shot. So, just one refill of the Quencher every day, and you might never meet dehydration!
RP shared, “All the girls at my school had it, so I was like, I want one too. It needs to be something that catches my attention. Stanley catches my attention. It’s the Valentine’s Day ones that get sold really quick.”
NT reported, “I saw it all over the Internet, and it was really popular. On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate it a 10-10!”
MN described, “Yes, it’s even better than I thought it would be. If I could change anything about my Stanley, it would be nothing, I love it so much.”
Even though it’s great Stanleys Cups can hold so much water, it’s very heavy carrying that around all day. People were attracted to Stanley Cups because of their wide variety of colors. Stanley cups/mugs can also cost anywhere between $20.00 and $120.00 on their online website. The quality of the most Stanley Quenchers are great, but this new Stanley craze can even be dangerous, not just physically but to a job, as well–specifically, the craziness surrounding a certain cup called the Valentine’s Day Limited Edition Stanley Cup. In some Target stores, not only are Stanley Cups selling out extremely quickly, people are starting to fight each other for it. Fights are breaking out all over, and just for a cup! But it’s not only fights, people are getting up before dawn to try and get to the nearest Stanley-selling store before others, hoping to be first in line. This can lead to sleepiness at work or school later on that day, or even the possibility of getting fired if this happens repeatedly.
Are Stanley Cups really worth all this? Should people really be pushing through this far just for a heavy container of water? Most importantly, when all this is added up together, will this all have a negative or positive impact on people’s health?
