WORLDWIDE– Have you ever heard about the holiday St. Nicholas Day? It’s right before Christmas.

St. Nicholas Day is a Czech holiday that is celebrated every year on December 6th. You get to open some presents. You don’t get as many presents as you do on Christmas.

6th grader Samantha Janos said, “I like St. Nicholas because I get to see my family and it’s like a mini Christmas.”

My dad, Joseph Janos, said, “I enjoy getting my stockings early.  I always enjoy having a Czech dinner.”

St. Nicholas Day is the day you get to open stockings. St. Nicholas is the same as Santa.

If you’re Czech, you get to celebrate “a mini Christmas.” Happy St. Nicholas Day!
