The new year is almost here! 2015 is coming, people are growing older, and there are many different ways to celebrate! Some people host a New Year’s Eve party. Others go to parties or stay home.

When the ball drops, there’s a clean slate. So, now’s the time to make New Year’s resolutions–something you’d like to do in the year to make your life better. People make them all over the world.

You may go watch the ball drop in Times Square in New York City. The ball dropping indicates the new year after the big count down from fifty.

4th grader Julia Scotto says, “I stayed up ’til midnight for the fourth time! My New Year’s resolution is to finish teaching myself how to type.”

New Year’s is almost here, so get out the noise makers and have a party!
