NEW YORK CITY–  In January (unless the trip is postponed again), the 5th grade is going to go on a field trip to the Museum of Natural History!

In school, we are learning about the Maya, the Aztec, and the Inca. That’s why we are going to the Museum of Natural History. Did you know that the Maya and the Aztecs killed people because they believed that their gods needed human sacrifice to stay happy?

“I love that type of history, and I would like to see some of the artifacts. It would be a great opportunity!” M.B. exclaims.

S.R. replies, “It’s really fun to learn about the ancient times because their way of life is really interesting!”

We have learned a lot about the Inca, the Maya, and the Aztecs, but we still have much more to learn about them!

“I don’t really think it’s that fun to learn about, but what I do think is fun is that there is sometimes war,” FM comments.
