SOMMER CENTER, IONA COLLEGE — Do you like Disney? How about theatre? Well if you do, SOOP theatre company is putting on ” The Little Mermaid”. This show is the perfect thing to go see in March. People in “The Little Mermaid” sing songs we all know, but please refrain from singing.
The plot of the “Little Mermaid” consists of a young 16 year-old Mermaid who falls in love with a prince. She makes a big choice and eventually, like all Disney movies, has a happy ending.
Some of the songs in SOOP’S “Little Mermaid” are from the Broadway show, so if you watch the movie before you come to see the play, you might be confused. But, just know that they are in the Broadway show. The play will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of March.
“I don’t think I’m going to see ‘Little Mermaid’, but I know the story well,” reported CV.
Hutchinson teacher, Ms. Buzin, added, “I am hoping to see the closing performance of ‘Little Mermaid’. I am most excited to see some of my current and former students in the spotlight.”

The “Little Mermaid” is a play that everyone can relate to. All the actors worked so hard, so make sure to show them some love. If you have a friend or family member in the show, be proud of them.
