HUTCHINSON SCHOOL — Have you noticed the winter holidays coming up? These varieties of holidays can allow you to have fun and spend time with family and/or friends! Many people have different religions, so they can celebrate different holidays. Remember to be mindful of that!
All of the winter holidays are fun and involve some sort of celebration. On Christmas, there’s usually a tree with some presents under it. Christmas trees are decorated beautifully with ornaments with a star on top. The presents are neatly wrapped, not showing any of the things inside. People have different traditions. Maybe you can even create your own!
For Hanukkah you can sing blessings while lighting the menorah, and take some time to be with your family! There is a special feast with special Hanukkah foods called latkes, which are basically potato pancakes. Then you can have some sort of meat, like fried chicken.
“I celebrate Christmas. I get to see my family who live far away, and they all come to see me,” GAF reported.
“New Years is my favorite holiday because of the food. My favorite New Years food is Caesar salad,” JN added.
Hutchinson teacher, Ms. Buzin noted, “New Years is my favorite holiday because I like to dress up, dance and celebrate a fresh new start.”
We hope you had fun celebrating with your family. Stay warm and cozy!
