PELHAM SCHOOL DISTRICT– Exciting News! On the app, “Hour of Code” on the Launchpad, you can make games, create songs, and you can dance it out with virtual characters with their dance party “artificial intelligence”.
All you have to do is log in, click “add apps”, and scroll down to “Hour of Code”. Once you download “Hour of Code”, click in and create your account through email and your own personal password.
Ms. Sider from Hutchinson School said she loves “Hour of Code”. She shared, “It provides multiple choices that I know were made with care.” She also stated, “I love visual problem solving. It is a very big part of today’s coding, used for making cars and other machinery.”
“Hour of Code” is a fun, educational app, introducing coding and music in an exciting way. “Hour of Code” is a better coding resource than “Scratch” because of it’s AI (Artificial Intelligence) and personal lesson planning.
According to Mrs. DelMastro, technology teacher at Hutchinson School, “I love ‘Hour of Code’ because you can code when you are in first grade or a Technological Scientist. ‘Hour of Code’ is for everyone.”
