MOVIE THEATERS EVERYWHERE– Are you a big fan of Captain Marvel‘s movie, or the Ms. Marvel series? Well, the new movie and sequel to their stories, The Marvels, is finally out, so go see it!
The Marvels is about 3 women, all of whom have marvelous powers. The first is pretty popular with Marvel fans: Carol Danvers, or Captain Marvel. The second will be a be a bit unbelievable: Monica, Captain Marvel’s now grown niece! Lastly is Ms. Marvel of the Ms. Marvel show on Disney+, or Kamala Khan.
“It was the best movie I ever saw!” was the enthusiastic comment of SB.
When asked what his favorite parts were, BP said, “When Monica went to the other side. That and the fighting parts.”
Ms. Marvel is a big fan of Captain Marvel, such a big fan that she even named herself after her! She’s always wanted to see her, team up with her, and become a heroine, just like her. Her power is the ability to create hard, solidified light. So, Ms. Marvel can create shields, weapons, and more.
Monica, Captain Marvel’s niece, waited for her aunt to fulfill her promise and come back after she left to continue her job. Sometime after giving up on Captain Marvel’s return, Monica ended up with the power to go through any hard surface, see light that normal humans can’t see, and fly (The full story is shown in the moments before the movie starts).
When Captain Marvel and Monica (she was an astronaut working for Nick Fury, and breathing in space is not one of her powers) touch a hole in space, the Marvels start switching places as soon as two or three of them use their powers at the exact same time. Then, using a bangle that is the twin of the bangle that gives Ms. Marvel her powers, a woman starts stealing resources from other planets (specifically, every place Carol Danvers has called home). Will they be able to stop her with all the switching going on? Even if they can, is she really an evil villain/thief? Or is she just a leader trying to save her planet and its residents, while also taking revenge on Captain Marvel?
