EARTH– The New Year is coming!
January 1st is New Year’s Day! Many people celebrate with a party on New Year’s Eve, which is on December 31st. Others celebrate differently.
Ms. Buzin reported, “I will be in Switzerland with friends. We are going on a Swiss Cheese Boat Cruise.”
KY explained, “I celebrate it like Chinese New Year by wearing red fancy vests.”
Others celebrate by going to Times Square in Manhattan to watch the ball drop on New Year’s Eve. Some people do a countdown until midnight when there are 10 seconds left of the year.
