Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is a holiday celebrated by Christian people. It is a day to begin giving up something that you love for Lent. Some examples are sweets, a board game, or a device.
MBS said, “I gave up my iPad and painting.”
PT explained, “I gave up candy for Lent.”
BD added, “I gave up sugar.”
Christians believe that since Jesus Christ sacrificed something for you, you give up something for him. This holiday lasts for 40 days, when Easter arrives.
